That being said, it is not a long-term career for almost anybody. If you want to eventually be a dealer or just like the idea of working in a casino, this job provides the experience you need at a wage you can live on. This review may not apply to other locations. Note: every location seems to have a completely different environment and culture. Casinos stay open through weekends or through holidays, so some people may not enjoy that for their own workplace/life balance. Because money is the motivating factor for many of the players and even the dealers, it causes conflict when you are trying to perform your job. I would say the negative aspect of the job that people may struggle with is the fact that at the end of the day it is a casino environment.
Even senior level associates become a resource for you because most people within the company have started from the same place you have. Management puts a lot of effort in making employees feel like they can open up to them. The positive aspect of this is as an employee you have control over how quickly you can move through the company depending on the effort you put into your own development. The company takes the time to train their employees on each game and also puts energy into their development. This job is something that most employees coming into it are not used to.
